ABOUT WILL
Will is a multi-award-winning creator, director and producer of Television and Theatre. His awards include Six BAFTA nominations, a BAFTA, a ROYAL TELEVISION SOCIETY AWARD, and a BROADCAST Award, as well as another 14 awards and nominations, including a Gemini—the Canadian BAFTA. Currently, Will works as a regular director on Hollyoaks, Emmerdale, and Eastenders, alongside his live work and writing.
Through his own production companies ‘Tell-Tale Productions'’ and ‘Wish Films’, he has co-created, written, produced and directed some of today’s best known and most iconic programmes for children, including most memorably the worldwide phenomenon ‘The Tweenies’, (who sold more tickets on their first tour than Robbie Williams and Brittany Spears put together! ) He also holds the unusual honour of creating and producing both the BBC and ITV’s biggest ever single commissions for children’s programming.
LIVE SHOWS: Last Christmas Will adapted the Oliver Jeffers book ‘Lost and Found’ for the Manchester International Festival with music by the Super Furry Animals’ Gruff Rhys, which resulted in a truly magical and moving experience. Will has also written, co-written and directed over 40 shows, including 26 arena shows and a bespoke musical for children ‘The Tale of Mr Tumble’ which is regularly seen on the Cbeebies channel. Will also wrote and directed the ‘Dr Who! The Monsters are Coming!’ arena tour starring Nigel Planer, which opened at Wembley to great acclaim.
